Archivo Jalisco is an exhibition that departs from 100 representative objects from the Archivo Collection and gathers a series of local works from Jalisco –related to both popular and contemporary design– that concur with Archivo’s mission, and could potentially be included in its collection. Throughout its history, Archivo has assembled a collection of almost 2,000 industrial design pieces. This has been built as an alphabet of the most important objects –and episodes– in the history of local and international design of the 20th century, thus becoming the largest specialized design collection in Mexico.

Drawing a selection from Archivo Diseño y Arquitectura Collection, Interfaces presented some of the most iconic and revolutionary landline and mobile telephones in the history of Modern and Contemporary Design.
With original designs from Henry Dreyfuss, Donald Genaro, Jonatahn Ive, Marco Zanuso, Ralph Lysell, Paul Pierce, among others.
The City is Out There. Demolition, Occupation, and Utopia

La ciudad está allá afuera. Demolición, ocupación y utopía
This exhibition functioned as a multidisciplinary collaboration that used Mexico City as its focal point. It explored the modern planned city in comparison to the actual uses of public and private spaces. The show is an exercise in expanded, cooperative curation that incorporates multiple disciplines in order to explore the different narrations and representations of the city.

100 años en la vida de México
El Universal, the largest Mexican newspaper turned 100 years old in 2016. As part of the festivities, the newspaper's Centenial Comission commissioned our office with two sister exhibitions. 100 Years..., was thought to be watched from for CDMX´s most important and transited avenue, Paseo de la Reforma. The exhibition threaded El Universal historical front pages with iconic and high quality journalistic photographs. This, to remind the public eye how Mexican History has also been constructed with the newspaper´s vision, as a trusted chronicler of our daily lives.

100 Years in the Life of El Universal /
100 años en la vida de El Universal
El Universal, the largest Mexican newspaper turned 100 years old in 2016. As part of the festivities, the newspaper´s Centenial Commission organized two sister exhibitions through our project´s office.
Housed in the newspaper´s reception area, the curatorial proposal focused on telling the newspaper´s story through visualization design, a resourceful communication tool that helps public understand large ammounts of information in single images. More so, if the data base we have to make visible is 100 years old. To achieve this, we collaborated with Monterrey´s design office Raidho and through El Universal, included IBM/WATSON, an artificial intelligence to help us with our readings.
